So I'm here! The trouble with having a blog about things I fashionably like is that to maintain it, you have to dress fashionable all the time. I mean, I suppose I could start a sweatpants chic blog, right? Kidding, I don't own any sweatpants, so I wouldn't even be good at that. (But I have taken a liking to high waisted pants, which are a serious substitute.) I haven't really been inspired to photograph what I'm wearing at all lately because I've been mostly wearing boring stuff so I've succumbed to failure. On top of that, one of my camera lenses was stolen while I was in LA (boo), and well, it's too cold and and all I want to do is  hibernated and sit on my couch and eat chips.

But I got this new necklace from Free People a few days ago and I kind of love it. I should become better at accessorizing because I mostly wear grey t-shirts and jeans all the time now, so I think a good accessory really helps switch things up a bit, right?! Anyway, I vow to do a post once I get my new Luxury Jones boots in, I swear. SO EXCITED.

I've been in love with Luxury Jones boots ever since I saw them at Dose Market. Today I decided to get some once I saw Solestruck had some in my size (validated by it being tax refund time and all...). I can't wait to get these babies. Swoon and a half.

Recently I took a trip to Los Angeles, and here are some photos! I went to see the Cabazon Dinosaurs, which you may remember from the greatest movie of ALL TIME (/kanye), Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Since then, they've turned it into a creationist center, which is all sorts of hilarious to see lions and sheep figures in the midst of giant dinosaurs. Fantastic. I also went to The Getty, whose architecture is reason enough to validate a visit. For now, I'm back in chilly Chicago.

So guys -- red makeup. What do you think? New Year's Eve is approaching tomorrow night and I haven't made the slightest amount of effort yet. But I wanna try this red eyeshadow! I think I have red eye shadow in my makeup bin. We'll see...but isn't it FABULOUS?! (total blogger buzz word alert)

So, in case you're wondering, my hair's not so red anymore. Though some remnants of red still remain, most of it has faded out with washing it. I guess that's the downside of red -- it never stays put. I haven't really been posting much lately -- I dislike most of my winter clothing options and need to go shopping, STAT. Though, I also have so save up for a million things, one of which is the trip to Los Angeles I'm taking next month (which I also mentioned in my last post, so as you can tell, I'm excited about it. LA guys, LA.)! So! There's that. In the meantime, here are some photos of me in suspenders and plaid, because lumberjack is the new black, DUH.

Palomino Swimsuit by Wild Fox

I really am trying to convince myself to buy this. I mean, I'm going to California next month, so a swimsuit in January is totally necessary, right? For $230, probably not. SIGH.

So I finally bit the bullet and dyed my hair red again! I got my hair trimmed a bit too. I've wanted to cut my hair off for a while, but I think a few people I know would shed a few tears if that happened, so...a compromise. I'm still getting used to it, but red fades so fast, I should enjoy it while it lasts. (Hey, that rhymes! It's like a John Mellencamp song.)

You know when you just hop outta bed after you've received a text from your friends asking you to do brunch in 10 minutes and you are just DYING for brunch and you throw on some clothes real quickly and run out the door, and a street photographer happens to capture it and then it's put on Refinery29? Welp, I do!

PS -- I'm getting my hair cut and colored this weekend. Promise I won't do anything drastic. I don't think.

For Halloween, I went as SPACE! which gave me an awesome excuse to buy this Black Milk Blue Galaxy Dress. I thought I couldn't really wear it much, since I don't go to a lot of places that a short tight galaxy printed dress is appropriate, but it also doubles as a longer tank top for me, so now my love of space self can wear it all the time. SPACE! (Also, who needs a haircut? I DO.)
