So I have been looking at these shoes for a while now, I saw them on zappos.com and endless.com (though now I can't find them anywhere on either of those) and I really really wanted them. I decided not to...until I walked into Von Maur last week and they were sitting on the front display, so I took it as a sign to buy them. I do not regret this decision one bit, since I don't think I've taken them off since I've gotten them. The bottom of the heel is already starting to wear already, since I weirdly walk on my heels all the time. But they are GLORIOUS. And made by Dolce Vita.

...and rubypearl. Her stuff is equally amazing. I got this fantastic corset dress from her that I wore to SXSW last week, and got tons of compliments on it. She's based out of Austin, and takes vintage fabrics and pieces them together to make really really interesting clothes. Looking at her stuff makes me wish I would have learned how to sew from my mom. She used to make all our halloween costumes, and tons of dresses for us as kids. She doesn't sew so much anymore, but I really really wished I would have learned, too. But I guess it's never too late to learn, and I do need a new hobby.

If you ever are in the market for butterflies or flowers or other whimsical things to put in your hair, check out whichgoose, this really super sweet girl that sells all sorts of stuff like that. I bought this really great butterfly headband that I love from her. I've also gone to Hobby Lobby after getting it as inspiration and bought a ton of silk flowers and butterflies that I've been hot gluing to hair pins and wearing in my hair.

I love the new thigh high boots that are all over the runway for Fall RTW 2009. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these from Hussein Chalayan with the little garters attached. Now, if I had an endless supply of money I would totally buy them. I'd probably get weird looks from people walking down the street (not that I don't already), but man...I love them. I just bought these that are not as high as I would like, and I'm not sure how they are going to look.We'll see -- I just might look like a crazy wannabe pirate stripper in them.

So, I figured since a lot of people are doing these things, and since I had one a long while ago that I have since deleted, I'll start a new one. I think I'm gonna fill it with things I like, things I bought, things I think are pretty, interesting, and/or awesometown.
