what i wore: favorite!

I tend to wear an awful lot of heather grey t-shirts. But this one by Nightcap Clothing is my favorite! I wish I bought a bunch of them in all different colors because this t-shirt is so comfortable. It looks very unassuming from the front but the drop back is awesome! I went to see The National (AMAZING show, by the way) last night and this is what I wore.

Bal Masqué: Vogue Paris October 2010 issue.

The Paris October 2010 issue just came out and it has the most amazing editoria featuring one of my favorite models, Lara Stone. Why can US Vogue's editorials be as cool as this? Everything always looks so tame in comparison.

ready for fall?

Well, it's now officially fall and we are saying goodbye to summer already. So sad! With the past day or two's weather here in Chicago, Fall seems to have come in with a vengeance. I have a love-hate relationship with fall. While I like -- no, LOVE most fall clothes, it never seems to last long enough until it's negative 20 degrees and winter and all I want to do is sit on my couch and watch TV. But still, the leaves are starting to change and this is probably one of my favorite times of the year. So, I suppose. Welcome back, Fall!

Per my previous post I really wanted one of the harnesses from Topshop's Unique fall 2010 line. They were all sold out, but I found one on esty from seller AudraJean! I'm going to also pair it over sweaters and jackets too.

what i wore: new suspenders!

It was too dark to take photos outside, but I went out for a few drinks on Saturday night and wore some new suspenders I got so I tried to snap a few! It was attempted a something a little along the lines of menswear, but casual.

Sweater: Express
Tank: James Perse
Suspenders: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Current/Elliott

sequin pants?

J.Crew has been styling a lot of it's more casual pieces with sequin pants and leggings. I'm a bit on the fence about them. They do liven things up a bit and bring a bit of texture to an outfit! What do you think?

See the rest of the new J.Crew Lookbook here!

I love the airy and flowing feel of this collection. So pretty and feminine. The hair too! Perfect.

color change.

So I have an hair color appointment in about 2 weeks. Not sure what I want...I'm thinking more of a caramel brown color, or a darker brown, but these photos of Karen Elson still make me think RED.

alexa chung for madewell

Alexa Chung recently designed a line for Madewell (which, I might add next to J Crew is quickly becoming one of my favorite stores). These are some of my favorites! (Though, most of it is sold out already, sadly.)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

rodarte s/s 2011 (omfg)

Amazing. Though not my favorite Rodarte line ever, the detailing and color combinations and wood-like prints are gorgeous. It's a bit different and less dreamy than previous collections, but still seems true to the Rodarte style and textures. I love it!
