I give you, Erase Paste by Benefit! I've been using this for about a year now and I swear it is one of the best concealers I've ever used (probably my #2, after the now extinct Prescriptives Camouflage Cream -- sob.). It is great for erasing blemishes and for any dark circles under your eyes. One of my friends cannot stop recommending it as well, and I felt the need to speak up to the internet (hi internet!) about it too. THIS STUFF IS SO GOOD. Yep. It is. So, if you're looking for a good concealer, I'd say this is a good one to bet on.

I love, love, love this maxi dress from Shopbop (especially since it's in my favorite color, too -- and the drop back is fantastic as well). I'm going to Arizona in a few weeks for a short weekend trip and I am dying to get it!

I have been looking for a shorter animal print skirt for a while, but when I saw this skirt at F21 I had to get it! But this is what I wore to work today. So, so happy it's Friday tomorrow -- this week flew by (though it only being 4 work days long helps)!

erdem: spring 2011

I know, I know, it's FALL fashion week now. But who the heck wants to even think of fall when it's currently snowing outside? I love this collection from British designer Erdem, which makes me wish it was Spring already (as if I needed another reason).

So it's Presidents Day, and I have another day off from work. Pretty sweet. Here's me, posing like a total goofball in front of my laundry room. I totally got my unicorn ring in the mail recently and have been wearing it non-stop (and I haven't even gouged out one of my eyes yet! Thank GOD.).

what i wore: (chambray and tulle)

It's an incredibly balmy 35 degrees today, so I took some pictures outside (because WOAH, it's WARM OUT!) between the feet of snow that still remains after the blizzard with had last week. It's been super stressful trying to maneuver a car around all the giant snow piles to go to work, so hopefully the worst is over. So glad I don't have to deal with Chicago "dibs" with having a garage. ANYWAY. I liked the recent J.Crew pairing of a sequin skirt and chambray shirt, so I tried my hand at it.

meeting tavi.

So tonight I attended an interview show at The Hideout where Tavi of The Style Rookie was a guest! I met her after the show and was a total nerd and asked for a picture with her (no seriously, I said "I'm sorry to be a big nerd, but..."). She was so sweet (and totally adorable). She was so well spoken and funny during the interview, and definitely wise beyond her years. The place was packed too, so there are definitely a lot of Tavi lovers in Chicago!

I think I posted one of the shots from this editorial a while ago, but I just have to revisit it. The underwater shots are just so beautiful not too! All that McQueen getting soaked makes a bit "but what about the clothes?!", but a still really really pretty spread from Vogue Nippon.

snow day!

Snowmaggedon 2011! Work was cancelled, and we got at least a foot of snow so far (it's still snowing now). I have no idea how I'm getting my car out to go to work the rest of the week. The side streets aren't plowed, so I'd have to dig out the entire street to even move! So...I guess if you can't beat the snow, you might as well join it.
